When you are taking online courses, whether it is from your local college or one that is located clear across the country, sometimes you feel that you are all alone. You feel as if you are missing out on all of those college experiences that are portrayed in movies, but are you really? Is there college life online, too?

The truth is that unless you are eighteen years old, you aren’t going to school in order to party. You are going to college for an education, to further you career, and to make a better life for you and your family. Although you may be looking for college life online, you already have a life and that is in your own home.

Yes, you may be missing out on bonding with people who will be your friends for the rest of your life, but you will also be missing out on a lot of college life that really isn’t all that good at all. You will be missing out on getting up early in the morning to go to a class that you hate. You will be missing out on staying up all night studying for a test that you aren’t ready for.

When you take classes on the internet and choose college life online, you are making a much wiser decision, one that will pay off both in terms of financial gains and educational attainment for the rest of your life. By being able to keep your job, take care of your family, and life a normal life while still going to college online, you are making a very smart move.

If you are intent on living the “college life”, then feel free to move back into the dorms and live it up for a semester, but you will find that not only will your grades suffer, but you probably won’t learn a lot either.
